Hi, I am Laura Aschenbrenner and I am a Colorado native. I grew up in the Jefferson County school district. I have only lived in Arvada and Lakewood.
I am married and have 2 sweet girls. I homeschooled them for 5 years before I starting working at Arvada K8. We enjoy time as a family hiking and swimming. I like reading and go to the library every week.
This is my fourth year here as a Paraprofessional. I love the opportunity to help students and to be a support for them. I love the teamwork and I like knowing that we are all in this together.

Hi! My name is Karen Maier and I was born and raised in Scranton PA. I moved to Colorado in 2002.
I am a mother of 4. I love many sports but my favorite is football and I am a huge Raiders fan. Don't judge me! :)
My 2 boys attended K8 and I currently have an 8th grader here. I have been involved in the K8 community for many years before being employed here as a para. What I love most about K8 is EVERYTHING! The support I get as a parent as well as a para is top notch. Working with kids is a passion I have always had and it is a very rewarding job. Students at K8 have gotten to know me and it touches my heart when they recognize me in public! In my spare time I love to relax and watch TLC & HGTV Come tour our school and let us show you why it's AMAZING!
