Digital Teacher Librarian

This is my 6th year as the Digital Teacher Librarian at Arvada K-8. I have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University. I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade for 9 years in my home state of Georgia. I graduated with a Master's in Instructional Technology in 2011 from Georgia Southern University. I then transitioned into the school librarian position in 2012. The library is my passion and heart. I am a huge advocate of literacy and truly enjoy children's books. I also enjoy getting to work with the entire school population. I moved to Colorado in 2014 and have been in the library ever since. I believe the library is the heart of the school. I also manage the technology in the school and teach technology skills to students and staff. When I am not at work, you can usually find me outside with my dogs or at the gym. I am truly thankful to be a part of the Arvada K-8 community.
